Asheville Sculptor

I truly love working on artist websites because I get to immerse myself in their beautiful work as I build. Hoss Haley was one of those impressive artists and I was honored to redesign his website. He already had a simple Squarespace website when he reached out, but knew it was time to redesign so he could showcase his sculptures better, show more process / behind the scenes work and reorganize the content on the site.

Hoss didn't have a logo so I chose a typeface that matched his strong, structural style and chose a color palette inspired by his work. He's worked on a lot of projects over the years so we decided to break down his work into two sections. The older work is placed on an Archive page in gallery format and the featured projects each have their own page so we can include a longer description, multiple images, process shots and more. Hoss works at a pretty big scale so I wanted to make sure we showcased his work in a way that would translate in web.
