Maisie came to me looking for help with her brand(s) as she prepared to travel the country on a bus (named Gus) and her new business: an adventure lifestyle blog paired with her traveling interior design services.
Maisie is an interior designer and will take on design projects while she's on the road. She's hoping to work with cabins, hotels, rentals and airbnbs with her natural, yet sophisticated style. She wants to bring the feeling of the outdoors inside and help create spaces that make you happy and healthier. Alongside this work, she'll also share her travels, experiences, recommendations and design inspiration. While the overarching brand is Rambling Ma'am, her design services will be under the name Rambling Interiors.
Rambling Ma'am brand is deeply influenced by Appalachia - the rivers and mountains, wildflowers, plant medicine, banjo picking, campfires, etc. We wanted to marry natural and earthen with quality and sophistication, but also portray a soulful, feminine spirit. We both felt like wildflowers would be the perfect way to emphasize this Appalachian vibe and so I drew this mark based on specific Virginia wildflowers. I love how the primary logo quite literally looks like the outdoors are inside with the help of the arched text that hugs the icon inside. The color palette is just so perfect too!
