Rustic farm weddings + spiritual retreats

Paint Rock Farm is a wedding, event and retreat venue in Hot Springs, NC overlooking beautiful Pisgah National Forest and the French Broad River. They were looking for a classic, simple, modern logo that would cater to brides, but would also make sense for spiritual retreats, rustic glamping and their organic farm.

During our discovery meeting we discussed imagery representing sacred geometry, eternal symbols and Native American pictographs, but ALSO imagery that could have a rustic, old family farm feel. At first I was worried that these two ideas might be too different to work together (especially since we still wanted to lean modern), but I then realized that a barn quilt could be rustic, yet geometric and sacred at the same time. It felt like a perfect way to highlight everything that they hold space for.

When I worked with Paint Rock Farm on this logo, I was able to visit the property and all that they really had at the time was land and an old barn that had just begun renovations. It's been incredible to see how far they've come since then. I've actually had the pleasure of attending two beautiful weddings there and always enjoy spending time on this stunning, peaceful property.
